KS8 Licensing | One Device, Edition Lock & Activation
The licensing system keeps owner grants, verified Lemon purchases, editions, devices, durations, and delivery evidence separate and auditable.
From purchase to activation
- Checkout captures an authoritative catalog price and successful payment evidence.
- After a verified Lemon webhook, fulfilment creates the paid KS8 licence and records its purchase provenance.
- The customer receives the correct edition artifact and a secure one-time serial reveal path.
- The duration starts on first activation, not when an order is merely created.
One physical computer
Each licence binds to one physical computer. Device reset or transfer is a controlled support action with audit history; it is not a mechanism for simultaneous sharing.
Owner grants are different
A licence created directly by the owner remains labeled Created by owner. It must never be presented as a paid purchase.
